Lost in a Game

I collaborated with other young creatives on an independent short film project called "Lost in a Game". The storyline centers around Lana, a gifted software engineer who invents a virtual reality game to connect with the whole Internet through an AI singularity. However, her obsession with pushing technological advancements for the betterment of humanity may cause her to lose touch with her own humanity. The movie is structured across three different realities: Lana's personal experience, the VR game, and the singularity itself. As she withdraws from the real world, her relationships turn more exploitative. Instead of enhancing her external environment, she makes it more toxic to justify her escape into her utopian world. My contribution to the project was as the production designer, and I worked with a design assistant. My responsibilities included finding props and set pieces, building a mirror frame, and setting up the environment. On set, my assistant and I made sure everything was rearranged after each shot after each shot.
